Unhappy Is there a way to delete standard fields???

I have just setup Sugar and am getting ready to import our current database from ACT 6 but a lot of the standard fields in "add contact" we have not previously used and don't need. For example in ACT we have the full name under 'Contact' so I would rather have this in Sugar then a seperate first and surname field.

I am using the Community Version 5.5.0
    PHP 5.2.1
    MySQL 5.1.36
    WAMP Server

Why don't you just remove the first_name from all panels and label last_name with "Full Name" ?

If you remove standard fields you will destroy your upgradeable installation. So I recommend to ignore the unused fields and to remove them from the different panels.
