    Default Throttling emails

Does anyone know how I can throttle emails for campaigns? I have it set to send out 50 at a time but my host requires me to throttle the emails to 1 every 6 seconds.

    Many thanks

    Hi

    You can try like below,

Set the "Number of emails sent per batch" as 1.
Set your cron job to trigger the scheduler every 6 seconds.
Set your scheduler interval as "As often as possible".

I hope this helps. IMO, if running campaigns is your main business, just switch to some other host.

PS: I never tried in this way. This is just an idea.

Dont think that will work - cron only goes down to minutes

You could ask the host if 10 a minute is ok

Has anyone found a solution for this? Has someone made a feature request? Any news at all?

This is the one reason why I probably won't go with SugarCRM. To bad, because otherwise it is an awesome program.

    Hi

You can set the cron job to trigger every 1 min. And set your scheduler interval as "As often as possible".
Set the batch size to a very low value, based on your SMTP server capability.

What is the problem you are facing?
