Is ther any wy to create a tick box next to a field, i appreciate that dropdowns can do it simarlarly

in custom/modules/<module_name>/metadata/editviewdefs.php copy the file editviewdefs.php from modules/<module_name>/metadata/ and in the field you want to add a check_box (I think you want that) you can add customCode in stead to let sugarcrm manage the fields.
