Tracker URL Personalization

Forgive me if this is answered somewhere else but is there a way to pass on information to the tracker URL for an email campaign to provide variables to a personalized webpage? I understand I can provide personalized information in the email template but would also like to have target specific information displayed in the page the user see after they click a tracker url in the email.

Every email will get the same tracker_url, I can't think of any way OOTB that you could pass user data of any kind to the tracker_url. The information passed back to SugarCRM from the remote click might be captured and used but at the moment this would require some custom coding in SugarCRM.

I think what I will end up doing is modifying Tracker.php to pass through a request argument that I will appened to the tracker url in the email template.
