transfer contact as well as account to new user

I want to know how I can transfer all contacts within an account to a new user with one entry.
Can this be done - or does the account and each contact have to be transferred individually?

Go to list view on Contacts and search for all contacts with the desired account name. Select them all, and then click 'Mass Update" under the Action menu. You should be brought to a form at the bottom of the page that will include the 'assigned to' field. Change that to the user you wish, and then click update. The account itself will have to be transferred individually, but it'll save you the hassle on contacts.

If you are using SugarCRM Pro, you need to use the work flow to automatically reassign the Contacts of an Account to the new user, once you reassign the Account to a new user.

If you are using SugarCRM CE, you need to develop a simple custom logic hook for achieving this.
