Default I'm Having Trouble getting started with sugarcrm

Here's my problem. I have got the windows installer installed.I start the server, I go through the "start here: process. It asks me for the mysql port number, by default 3306 is there, but it says can not bind to it, so i put 8080. New next port number is 80 I believe it could bind to that. I put in the localhost inormation from my godaddy database I created (not sure if that's what it's asking me for or if sugarcrm creates a database) I put in the db name and password. it then goes throught the install process (oh yeah, I installed it to my local machine) Once it installs I point my broswer to http://techy-sult.com:8080/sugarcrm (like in install_summary.txt file instructs me to) and nothing happens. I am not sure where to go from there. Am I doing something wrong, can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks I appreciate it.

Let's start by sorting out the story.

In your message you state you've installed locally, but you are trying to access it off of a different server. So which are you trying accomplish; install locally so everything is on your system or install Sugar to the GoDaddy server?

Can you elaborate on the port issue? You state you were having problems binding MySQL, but later reference a URL with that port number, but as it pertains to your web server.

    Need clearer details.

What I meant by start the server is: I go to my start menu and go to all programs, then go to SugarCRM, then go to run SugarCRM, go to All, and click on start. I hope that helps.
