Trouble viewing attachments

My inbound email attachments are fine when I load them directly from disk but when I click on link to attachment in SugarCRM they come out all scrambled.

Any ideas what could be going on in download.php to cause this?

never mind, found solution in this thread., Turned out to be zlib compression for me.
