Two workflow questions

I would like to convert a lead to a contact automatically if the lead source is set to a specific value. I attempted to accomplish this through the workflow module, but I can't seem to get the action section to work.

I would like to automate an email to be sent out after a new lead is entered into Sugar that has the lead source set to a specific value. I would prefer to have this action occur after 48 hours. I could not figure out how to accomplish this through the workflow module...

Any help appreciated, including "you can't do those things with Sugar..."

Can't be done with workflow, this would have to be a logic hook. Consult developers.sugarcrm.com for the developers guide.

This would be done with a timed workflow. Just set it to fire when the lead source has not changed for 2 days.

Hello JBella08,

You can accomplish your workflow requirements with our Process Manager product. There is a free version of Process Manager that will allow you to schedule calls, create tasks, send emails or call custom php scripts based on the create or modification of objects in Sugar.

So - if you know php you can create a simple php script that will convert the lead to a contact. If you don't know PHP, we can create the script for you.

For your other request - our Enterprise Version of Process Manager allows you to setup time delayed business processes - such as sending emails.
