Default Unable to add notes (You do not have permission to access this module.)

I've read a number of threads on this, and none of them seem to apply to my situation.

A user is simply trying to access (view) a note. As an admin, her role allowed her to view and change everything. I've even tried making her an admin. No matter the case, she's unable to view notes (index.php?module=View&action=DetailView)

I've hidden all tabs, added them back, removed her from any role, made her an admin, and tried everything in between.

The thing just won't work! Can someone please tell me why this thing is not working??? All of the items for the different modules are Enabled; nothing is blocked off. We even tried using a different theme to see if this was the problem.

Note that this is not a custom module, just regular Notes attached to a lead. (The Lead is assigned to the user trying to access the record.)

    Please help!

    Hello toneee,

Have you try to launch a "Repair roles" (admin -> repair) ?
What version are you using ? If you are using a professionnal version, this would be a problem with the teams.

Thanks for your response. However, the version I am using does not have a "Repair Roles" link. I am using the open source version Version 4.2.0d

It's gotten even worse because one of my employees can't even login; after logging in it says:

    My Top Open Opportunities

You do not have access to this area. Please contact your site administrator if you believe that you should have access.

I had a similar problem. In wiki, I found this information. After running this procedure, the users had the proper access

    after logging in, run:

    'index.php?module=ACL&action=install_actions

This will 'reset' the ACL and will add your module to the ACL list so you can have proper permissions.

    Hi Albcomcap,

I tried to do this, but still the problem persists.

What's funny is that in ADMIN view, I see that my module is activated for my User.
However, when I log in with the user and go into "my account", I don't see the module as being activated.

Somehow, the privileges for my custom module are now being "pushed" to the user.

    Someone's got an idea ?
