Unable to compose email or adjust settings

I am using Sugarcrm 5.2c. When I click on the email menu item, it takes a long time to load, and then shows the check email, compose email, and settings buttons but none of them work and nothing else displays.

As such I cannot do anything with email.

Any ideas?

Try different browsers and make sure javascript is enabled in your browser.

Even worse with IE. This used to work in 5.1 in the same environment????

I tried the 5.5 preview from this same machine and the email works in it ???
