Unable to create selectable TCP socket ???

I am new to Sugar CRM and i have manged to successfully install it .

How ever when i am trying to configure my email, i keep getting this error

Test Settings
Unable to create selectable TCP socket (1265 >= 1024)
Please check your settings and try again.

What does this mean and how can i fix this problem other wise i can not email from sugarCRM

I found the following DEBIAN bug posting:

perhaps an upgrade of php imap module would solve the problem...
