Default Unable to select database: Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'sugarcr

    Hi,

I have a problem to finish the install of SugarCRM, I have searched and read these 2 posts
    http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4796
    http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3384
But I don't really understand how to do
    My computer is
    -Acer C110 with 768 mo
-Windows XP tablet version with sp2
    -every update is done
in the task manager, Apache and mysql is running...

In order to be clear ( at least trying ) I will post every screenshot, I hope you will not mind it.

I choose sugarcrm as the name of database and localhost 127.0.0.1
and for user and pass i choose admin

    here is the second screen

I choose again admin and admin

In the screen Customize Locale Settings , I didn't change anything

then in confirm settings, this is what I have:

    Confirm Settings SugarCRM
    Database Configuration
Database Name sugarcrm (will be created)
    Database Administrator Username admin
Populate Database with Demo Data? No
    Drop Tables No
    Locale Settings
    Default Date Format 12/23/2006
    Default Time Format 11:00pm
    Default Currency Euro
    Currency Symbol €
    Currency Code (ISO 4217) EUR
    Significant Digits 2
    1000s Separator ,
    Decimal Separator .
    System Credentials
    Sugar Database Username admin
Sugar Database User Password (hidden) admin
    Sugar Application Admin Name Admin
Sugar Admin User Password (hidden) admin
    System Environment
    PHP Version 5.2.5
    XML Parsing OK
    MB Strings Module OK
Writable SugarCRM Configuration File (config.php) OK
    Writeable Custom Directory OK
Writable Modules Sub-Directories and Files OK
    Writable Data Sub-Directories OK
    Writable Cache Sub-Directories OK
PHP Memory Limit >= OK (256M)
    ZLIB Compression Module OK
    IMAP Module OK
    cURL Module OK
    Upload File Size OK
Note: Your php configuration file (php.ini) is located at: C:\Program Files\sugarcrm-5.0.0g\php\php.ini

And unfortunately, at the end: this is what I got after click on Install
    Perform Setup SugarCRM
    Creating Sugar configuration file (config.php)

Creating Sugar application tables, audit tables and relationship metadata
Creating the database sugarcrm on 127.0.0.1...done
Unable to select database: Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'sugarcrm'

Can you tell me what's wrong?
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Best regards,

The database administrator is normally not admin but root.
Do you have an mysql database administrator with username admin?
or is it a defualt database, then the administrator of hte mysql db is root.

This has nothing to do with the sugarcrm administrator who is a user in sugarcrm.

    Try these tools:

    http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html

In mySQL administrator you can define daily backups of the database running automatically. A real nice tool.
And the mySQL Query Browser is the best you can use.
