    Default Unable to Send Emails

    I had crm installed on the host server and Unable to send emails. Its showing Send Error in the sentmails. Settings are all correct.

    I can able to send emails from the crm installed on my local machine and also crm installed on other host server.

    can anyone help me solving this error.

    Hi!

    There can be few problems.
    As you may know you can send an email from Sugar in two ways:

    first : sendmail
    second: SMTP server

    senmail doesn't work if you have windows hosting.
    Sure if you use smtp you have to configure outbound email settings.
    Some times sendmail is blocked by hosting provider. (Spam reason)

    Could you elaborate on your hosting service provider specifications? Also you can cross check your settings with points mentioned by Petro.

    Hi,
    I had sugarcrm installed on hosting server. I can able to send individual mails and also campaing mails. But suddenly it stopped working. iam unable to send mails.
    1. If i try to send individual mail its showing mail has sent but its not received by the receiver.
    2. If i try to send campaing emails the mails are queued in the email queue showing the status "1" "checked".

    All the settings are correct. Its very urgent can anyone help me

    I am experiencing something similar.

    I am running SugarOS Version 4.2.1b on my own box CentOS 4.3(Final), been up and stable for 8+ months. Until this week I have been sending small batch Campaing emails every day for about 2 months.

    I did not have an email campaign to send this week, but a user just contacted me today and said that he is unable to send any emails.I checked and all emails since 4/9/07 have "Send Error" POP3 works fine. I created a new test user, gave it an email address and configured POP and SMTP on the Sugar account and got the same results.

    I also attempted to send a test email campaign, and received the same results as Neelima, Send Attempts1, Checked.

    There have been no configuration changes that I am aware of, I am the only person with admin access to the box.

    SMTP is working from standalone clients such as Outlook and Thunderbird.

    I have been considering upgrading to 4.51, but had not since until now nothing was broken. Does anyone believe that will help? Or should I get the SMTP issue sorted out first?

    Hi Jon:

    We did experience this problem. And this problem is very peculiar to one release of SugarCRM. I suspect you are using that version.
    The problem which we (Neelima) experienced and you are currently experiencing are same.

    After struggling for more than a week, we did move to 4.5.1 fresh installation and moved all the data from old to new installation. At that time, there is no patch for migration to 4.5.1 . May be now they might have a patch to migrate.

    This did completely solve the Email Problem. After that we have not experienced it till now.

    So You can try migrating to 4.5.1 or try going for a fresh installation and migrate the data.

    Thanks for the advice, I think I will move to 4.5.1 this weekend while the users are away.

    I have email going out via sendmail, which for now is good enough. I prefer SMTP. I will post an update after I migrate.

    I am using lates Open source version of SugarCRM i.e. 4.5.1f. The email are still not being sent and it gives "Send Error" massage. I have checked smtp, username, password and all other information and they are ok. I do not know why these bugs are not fixed when so many users are facing the same problem.

    Hi,

    I also have a fresh install of 4.5.1e and installed the F patch.

    I am also unable to send emails while incoming works fine - setting checked a zillion times.

    Is there perhaps anybody out there that could tell me if it is something that I did wrong or is this a sugar CRM shortcoming???

    I know 5.0 Beta is out but for now we want to still stick to 4.5.1 until all 5.0 is out of beta.

    Any help would be highly appreciated

    Double check your settings on both the Sugar installation AND on the server RECEIVING and forwarding your outgoing e-mail. If you have an internal Exchange server, make sure it will accept SMTP traffic from the IP address of your SugarCRM host server. The bottom line is, just because you have SMTP settings correct on your SugarCRM installation doesn't mean that the server you are bouncing it off of has them correctly specified.
