unable to send outgoing email / cryptic error

I have tried sendmail, and different gmail accounts - they test ok on the page where I set them up.
Then I compose an email and hit send:
Then i get the attached error popup -

Any ideas?

I just got this back from my hosting company.

Does anyone know of a workaround??

Thank you for your inquiry. As you can see by the error, the PHP command 'escapeshellcmd' is disabled on our shared servers for security purposes. As such, you cannot use this portion of the script you mentioned. Unfortunately, this has to remain disabled server wide for security purposes. There may be a possible workaround for this, and for such a remedy you should consult the creator of the script.

Sendmail is not available for dirct usage via php system call, you should use php mail functions for this.



Does anyone know if i can simply change the php file than handles the mailer?
