Unhappy Unresolved Data Importing Problem - Need verification!

Please refer to our previous discussions here http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26760

As I continue to troubleshoot I have still gotten no where. Upon furthur testing I have ruled out the possibility of the DB being populated and the CRM just not displaying the values and vice versa. I have also found that the date fields, custom or built in will not populate using Mass Update either. Only a manual edit and save of the account will fill the date fields.

Please note once again, this is tested on 2 different platforms with multiple versions. Can anyone take a moment to try and replicate this? I am completely stuck..Does Sugar offer paid support even for the Open Source model??

    Thanks again.

I am experiencing the same difficulties while trying to import to a custom date field. I am importing from a Comma Delimited File, with the date as mm/dd/yyyy. I have also changed the date in my Locale Settings to reflect my import date format as well. All other fields are importing to custom as well as default labels.

I've contacted Sugar for support and they are looking to see if it is a bug before they allow me to pay them ..hehe
Based on your post Drummond, it's looking that way. I will post any updates with this.

The default date format for MySQL is yyyy/mm/dd. When I formated the excel spreadsheet field as yyyy/mm/dd, then saved as a Comma Deliminated File, and imported it into Sugar, it posted correctly based on the format I chose for display under Locale Settings. It imports and works fine now.

Well, after some time Sugar has come back to inform me that this is infact a bug. They say it will be fixed in version 5.1 which is set to release at the end of July.

In the mean time there is no work around so our company is looking into a code fix and will surely post it here there after.
