Update opportunities

Hi,

I'm trying to update a set of opportunities. I tried to use the mass update panel but it doesn't help me because the field that i want to update doesn't exist on the mass update panel.
I tried to export and re-import the opportunities but it doesn't work, the opportunities are rejected when it's duplicated.

Is there any way to update a set of records ?

what field are you trying to update?

When you import + export you can check the radio button "Update and create" (or something like that) to update existing records.

You can also add your field into mass update panel by coding.

Actually I'm trying to update a text field (probability) and from this forums i read that it's not possible to add text fields to "Mass Update" panel.

when i try to re-import my opportunities i didn't find the option that permit to override the records.

I'm using sugarCRM version 5.0.0g.

You can check a radio button on the page where you choose de file format (at the bottom).

it is true that you cannot add a text field to the mass update panel. On your current version of Sugar (5.0g), you can only import new records. The ability to update existing fields is a feature that appears in 5.1 and later.

You can either upgrade to a later version which will have this feature, or if this is a one time mass update, you can create a sql script to update those fields via the database.
