    Default Upgrade from 4.5.0c to 4.5.0e - problem with upgrade file

    I am currently running 4.5.0c under Windows.

    When I try to upload the patch for 4.5.0d - I get the following message

    Specified directory '' for zip file 'C:\Program Files\sugarcrm-4.5.0\htdocs\sugarcrm/cache/upload/SugarSuite-Patch-4.5.0d.zip' extraction does not exist.

    What am I doing wrong?

    This was asnwered elswhere. It is a bug in the bitrock installer.
    Resolved by
    commenting out the open_basedir in php.ini
    Note: it worked for me.

    SOLUTION:

    open uw_utils.php and change this:

    Search:
    function extractFile($zip_file, $file_in_zip) {
    global $base_tmp_upgrade_dir

    Replace it:
    function extractFile($zip_file, $file_in_zip) {
    //global $base_tmp_upgrade_dir

    the only difeence is //

    reboot..

    thatīs all

    I followed your directions as listed here and ...

    I'm still getting the following message when I try to upload the zipped patch 4.5.0d

    Specified directory '' for zip file 'C:\Program Files\sugarcrm-4.5.0\htdocs\sugarcrm/cache/upload/SugarSuite-Patch-4.5.0d.zip' extraction does not exist.

    I'm running on Windows XP. I installed SugarCRM using the file "sugarcrm-bitrock-4.5.0c-windows-installer.exe" that I downloaded from the Sugar open source download page. When I ran this, I specified a directory sugarcrm-4.5.0 rather than using the default that was sugarcrm-4.5.0c because I think that is confusing if you then install 4.5.0d and than 4.5.0e. I mention this just in case it is relevant. But the path listed above in the message DOES exist. I don't know what "specified directory" it is looking for.

    Then I downloaded the upgrade zip file (and also the next one for 4.5.0e) and am trying to use the Upgrade Wizard to upload the upgrade and install it.

    I was able to successfully install upgrades in the past with prior versions.

    So - am I doing something wrong, or do I have a version of the installer program that has a bug? Is there a newer version of the bitrock installer? If so, where is it?

    Thanks.

    Hi Clint. I have tried just about everything I an find in the forums to resolve the upgrade challenge, yet I don't seem to be getting any closer to actually upgrading to 4.5.1. Is there anyone that can possibly assist me via Skype or MSN? This is just getting beyond frustration now. Please advise.
