Default Upgrade Issue 5.0.0a to 5.2e at commit

Hello. I recently moved off of an enspeed appliance to an Ubuntu dedicated box. I had too many issues trying to get centos to update PHP to v5. So now i got to the point where my SugarCRM instance is working great on Ubuntu 9. I can upload the upgrade file. But when I go to commit the changes i receive this error message...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function getJSPath() in /var/www/sugarcrm/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/uly5mk/SugarCE-Upgrade-5.0.0-to-5.2.0e/modules/Calls/metadata/editviewdefs.php on line 60

I have searched everywhere and I am not aware of what this issue means. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

This function is defined in the scripts:
    include/utils.php
    modules/UpgradeWizard/uw_emptyFunctions.php

Make sure it is defined into these files.

I really appreciate the help. I feel like i am so close to having the system upgraded....

I dont really know PHP or Java Script. Do you know what code i would insert in order to define this function?

Ok. A clarification... when you say "include/utils.php & modules/UpgradeWizard/uw_emptyFunctions.php" you mean at this location:

    /var/www/sugarcrm/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/[random file name]

correct? If so, i attached the two .php files in the zip. I see the function listed, but..... I dont know if is correct.

I used silent upgrade process many times for my clients without any problem. It is from 5.0 to 5.2 sugar version.
Try it once....it may be a success.

My host has an easy application which I used to install SugarCRM CE. I am having the same issue trying to upgrade from 5.0.0c to 5.2f at the commit stage. When I click next at the commit stage I get the following error.

    Error 500: Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

The problem is on the server side, not with your browser or the address. Most probably, a certain service (e.g., Tomcat engine) is down. Please contact your webmaster.

I sent in a trouble ticket to my host they had to change the .htaccess file, so ok I can get back in but then I had an import error as well when attempting to import data files. Are they (the errors and issues) all attached to one another?
