Upgrade not working

Hello All,
Greetings!
I am using sugarcrm CE5.2.e version on linux. I would like to upgrade to latest of 6.1 version. When tried to upgrade I initially get the screen for upgrade, but after I select the pacth it refreshes the page and no further displays as take a backup of the code and database in sugarcrm folder and take an instance and then go for upgrade. I have taken teh back up and tried to upgrade the patch again , but now again I being displayed with refresh page and it stands there itself. Can you kindly give your feedback for the same.

Sugarcrm Version:- CE 5.2.e
PHP:-5.2
Mysql:- 5.1.0b
Apache:-2.2
Operating system:- linux

Hi,

You can't upgraded directly sugar 5.2 to 6.

You need to upgrade 5.2 --> 5.5.0 --> 6.1 like this.

and check your php.ini for max_execution_time,max_input_time,Post_max_size and upload_max_filesize

Thanks you for your reply.but you if you have read my post clearly, I have mentioned that once i upload the patch, it refreshes the page and nothing is happening. I want to know the reason behind it and i shall be able to upload the patch. Usually when ever we upload the patch it gets added and it displays us a message saying that patch is being added up. Here only page is being refreshed. Can any one guide or give their valuable suggestions.Thanks in advance for your time.

I am seeing the same behavior when I try to upgrade from 5.2.0l to 5.5.0... Did anyone find a solution to this?

I had the same behaviour!
The patch based on version CE 5.2.l to 5.5 dosen´t work.

It´s interesting, because on another PC the patch works successful!

Operatingsystems are Windows7

I have same problem with upgrade from version 5.1.0 ->5.2.0->5.5.1->6.0.3
the problem is 5.5.1->6.0.3 upgrade progres just stop!!!

I'm having the exact same problem. I'm going from SugarCRM CE 5.2.0 -> 5.5.1 -> 6.0.3

From 5.2.0 to 5.5.1 appears to upgrade correctly.

The upgrade between 5.5.1 to 6.0.3 just stalls on the "Upgrade Wizard: Commit Upgrade" screen, with no error messages:

mySQL: 5.0.37
PHP 5.2.5


Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with upgrade from 6.0.1 to 6.0.3.

The screen is similar to what Stratton shows in the previous post. The upgrade stops at the "Commit Upgrade" screen and there is no Next button to press.

The upgrade wizard log stops at:

Sun, 14 Nov 2010 13:00:14 +0000 [UpgradeWizard] - setting session variables...

Has anyone been able to resolve this problem?

I was able to successfully upgrade to 6.1.0RC3.

I have the same issue here: upgrade from 554 to 603, commit stalls and doesn't do anything. No obvious error messages. Very strange.
I will try an upgrade to 601 or 2 and see what happens.
