Upgrade from Open source to Pro on WIndows

Hi,

We have been testing the OS version using the bitrock install on a windows XP system, been running fine.

We have just purchased the PRO version.

Has anyone got a process to migrate from the OS version to PRO ?

Help please.

Hi Noel,

I did this several months ago by simply installing the upgrade pack. As there was no live data on the Open Source version, I cared not too much about preserving it, but as far as I can remember everything went smooth and fine. If you have important data and customizations, make a test installation and duplicate your existing database, then try an upgrade on this test system. If you have specific questions or problems, post them.

in the downloads directory ?

I am using opensource 4.2.1 at the moment, I can't see another file called upgrade pack .

It looks like that is the file, but it doesn't say what to do with the files, do I just extract it over the top of the current files and run the manifest.php ?

No instructions that I can see.

Noel,

Login to www.sugarcrm.com, click on Support on the left "menu", then on Download Now. You'll get a list with a lot of files. I'd suggest you to pick up one that starts with SugarPro-Upgrade... and corresponds to the Open Source version you have and the Pro version you wish to have (I suppose 4.2.1a).
