    Angry Upgrade Wizard - 4.5.0b - Specified directory .. extraction does not exist

    Running the Upgrade Wizand and uploading the upgrade patch: Sugar Open Source Patch 4.5.0b (349 KB ZIP)

    Get through the first step, no problem. On step two I choose the .zip file and upload it, no problem, the package shows up as ready to install. I then click next. Immediately after clicking next I get the following error message:

    Specified directory '' for zip file 'httpdocs/crm/sugar/cache/upload/upgrades/patch/SugarSuite-Patch-4.5.0b.zip' extraction does not exist.

    What is going on? It appears it is trying to unzip the file into the patch folder, which it should be able to do.

    The entire crm directory is writable, so I don't think that is the problem. I am running Windows 2003 Server, with II6, PHP 5.1.6 and MySQL 5. Thanks much!

    Could you zip the upgradeWizard.log in the Sugar root and post it here?

    Here is my log, it clearly fails at the last line, the point of it trying to extract the zip file. I believe it fails because the path for extraction is empty, what is the fix? See the following thread for more info:

    One specific thought I have is that you say you're running 5.1.6; however that's not a supported platform of Sugar's.

    5.1.4 and 5.1.2 are both known to run well.

    Many people seem to be experiencing the same issue. In my test configurations, I found this happens on Windows when a SugarCRM install directory has a space in its name. The modules/UpgradeWizard/commit.php has some serious bugs and fail to recognize the directory.

    I've not found a cause in Linux configurations. For some reason a temporary directory gets lost.

    I have the same issue going from 4.5.0b to 4.5.0c and as with Justin there are no spaces in the path name.

    Hi, guys I had the same problem , eventually i resolved it..

    open your Apache httpd.conf file
    look for User nobody
    Group #-1

    Change it to User nobody
    Group nobody

    Restart your web server, if you dont want to the current users to be disconnected. restart the apace gracefully

    "Notes:---- Your apache user may be different."
