Upgrade Wizard curl_setopt() error

I get the following error when entering the upgrade wizard, on the choose/upload upgrade page.


Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in /include/nusoap/nusoap.php on line 2162

I have checked my php.ini and open_basedir is not set, safe_mode is set to Off. I think CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION is an apache setting but not sure.

I am running on PHP5 and Apache2, with MySQL. All this sits on a Linux Ubuntu server.

Hello there. Did you ever get this sorted out? I am getting the same error with a install running on plesk.
