    Default Upgrading an ancient version

    Hi,
I've just discovered, that we are using an ancient version (2.0.x) that should be upgraded. In the download section on sugarforge I can find versions from 3 up to the current version. Did I a) miss some obvious other locations for download or b) need to migrate all data manually or c) can somebody guess what might be harder: Manual upgrade or re-entering of all data...

    Thanks,
    Olaf

Hm, tough one. It looks like only 2.5.x can be upgraded to 3.0.x, and the 2.0 to 2.5 upgrade is no longer available. If you are running 2.5 check out the document Upgrade_Steps_2.5.1-3.0.rtf on the package download page.

Your best bet may be to set up a new 4.2.0d system, export your data in CSV files (for the modules which support that) and import those into the new system. That should cover a large portion of the conversion at least.

Thanks, I'll try and see if our users are happy with it. I've completely missed csv-export options when looking at the application (I've only inherited to administer it).

If somebody else has another idea - please post it here. The more options the better. :-)

    Thanks again,
    Olaf
