Urgent help Email errors Please

Hi there,

i have installed 5.GA and the email will not work the following problems i face:
1. incoming emails can not open and read , keep loading does not stop
2. try to delete inbox emails that does not work not even a error message just a long time "one moment please"
3. can not send emails out no error just does do nothing.
4. sending now give the following error "Error emailing:Could not execute: /usr/sbin/sendmail" but i set it to smtp

any one please HELP i realy appriciate any help that makes this work

System info:

Sugar crm 5.0 GA
apache 1.3.37
MySQL 4.1.12
PHP 4.2

I'm having the same problem like you. The problem seems to be related to some POP3 servers. I hope the Sugar Team is working on this issue.

thanks good to know , but it does not work also with IMAP thats the same , so that would mean not everybody can use sugar?

Hi,

It does work but it is tremendously slow with large mailboxes (something that never happens during testing ). However, I can't say anything about smtp because I gave up on it long time ago and my sendmail works.

But the email in 5.0 has tons of errors - seems as if development was interupted half way through and never finished. It's a pity because it drags the excellent rest down.

I have a POP3 mail server. Not IMAP

Help! Please.

Hi Solcom,

Just select in sugar crm the option SMTP and IMAP , dont fill in the username and password , then everything should work
on your server ervything can stay as it is , also outlook you dont need to change just in sugar use this settings.
