    Wink Use multiple database

    Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to use two different databases with SugarCRM.

    Let me explain:
In addition to the SugarCRM database, I have another database in which is stored business-oriented data. Could I do a join between tables of these two databases to return a result ?

Sorry for my English, I don't speak English as well as I'd like...

    Thanks a lot

There are a number of ways but you really have to consider what data you want to put into which module please explain a little more of what data you want to put where?

    Question Re: Use multiple database

Well, I have an existing system, whose data are in Oracle. It contains data such as customers, their accounts, their life insurance, etc..

I would like to make a link between the existing database and the SugarCRM database, to avoid data replication.

So I'd like to know if SugarCRM allows connection to two databases...

    Thanks

    It is no problem.
I use a sybase anywhere database connection in all logic hooks to sync the date just befor save with our project management software.
I just wrote a lass sybase in /custom/include/sybase/sybase.php and defined some methods to connect to my database.

Ok, thanks, that's what I thought.
I'm gonna try to customize the Reporting Module by accessing two databases...

    Thank you
