Hi,
I was asked to integrate SugarCRM with Drupal or Joomla so our customers could actually post bugs/cases through a simple web interface (on the Drupal/Joomla portal). I tried using the Mambo modules on SugarForge to integrate SugarCRM with Joomla but without luck.
So I suggested that we use a static website on the front to provide information about our product and have our customers actually login to SugarCRM to post in the forums or post bugs/cases. This obviously needs a slimmed down version of the SugarCRM interface with only a handful of tabs so it's easy for the customers. After playing around a little, I figured this was possible when creating new users, where we can control what tabs the user can see. However, the "user" is considered an "employee". In our case, the user will be a "customer". Is it possible to setup accounts for "customers" so they can login and submit bugs/open cases and take part in discussions (SugarForums) ? I'm sorry if I missed a thread already discussing this but ugh, the deadlines are raining on me.
Thankies.
