Hi,
I uninstalled and reinstalled SugarCRM onto the same machine, as was having problems and this was the only suggested solution, as it was previously installed on and kept a copy of all of the files from the old version. Is there anyway of getting all of the user data from the old files to copy over to the new one, so that all the accounts etc are the same as they used to be?

If you have a copy of database used by previous sugar instalation, you could just make a backup of the desired tables of this database, then a sql file is generated.

You could edit this sql file, to make it points to the new database, and also remove all drop/create table statments, leaving just the inserts commands.

Just run this edited file over your new user database, and all records from previous sugar will be there.
