Default User Edit: Impossible!. Extrange authentication is required

    Hi,

i just created a user with a wrong email settings, so i need edition.

When user is selected and EDIT button is pressed, an authentication is required by the server asking for uname and PWD to access "secured Area" on the domain. None of the passwords match for this requeriment, so when ESC is pressed the edition page is loaded but with errors (in both IE and Mozilla). i tried domain admin, databse admin, sugarcrm admin login name and pwds unsuccessfully

The editions made over the user arenīt recognized (new mail settings for example), so no testing or save tasks are performed when the respective buttons are pressed. Sugarsuite app hangs-up.

Server:Apache Web server (web hosting provider). Apparently they support scripts, smtp, everything but php.ini edition.
    Sugarsuite-full-4.2.1b
Sugarsuite directories, sub-directories and files all configured with 777 access.
Do i need to unsecure anithing else?

    Please help,

    Ignacio

Default Re: User Edit: Impossible!. Extrange authentication is required

    Hi, everything is solved!

An .htaccess file is created into the MODULES sub-directory. This file asks for a username and pwd located on a .ok_user in the following path: localhost/.htmaster/.ok_user

The .ok_user file wasnt created so i created it, added two lines: first line: a login name .second line: the password value., .......then press Save!

Everything is solved with this, Now when i ask for the same page, the authentication button appears. i put same login and contained on the .ok_user. Page loads and edits succesfully.

    Thanks
