    2-How to delete a user?
3-How can i edit a chart in the dashlet as it only shows the name of the person who is assigned to the opportunity not the opportunity name?

    1. Use roles. Create a role, set the access to Owner, and assign the user to it.
    2. Set the user status to Inactive. There's no way to remove a user except directly through the database.
    3. Click on the pencil icon and move Opportunity Name over to the Hide Columns list and User from the Hide Columns list to the Display Columns list.

    Hello,

    1. Create a role in the Role Management area in the admin area. For all the modules, set the view, edit, list, to 'Owner'. This means that only the Assign To person will be able to view and edit their own records. An user with administrator privileges will still be able to view all records in the system. You can click here for more information

    2. You cannot delete a user from within Sugar, you can only change the user status to Inactive (they can no longer log in). This is so that you don't lose historical data within the system (of records they created, modified etc). If you are really set on deleting the user, you must do so in the database.

    3. What dashlet item are you trying to modify? The Opportunity dashlet by default displays the Opportunity name. Just click the little pencil icon and you can change the fields that are being displayed.

Thanks for this posting. It helped me create a user account for my sales agents whom are not employees but rather just referring business to our company. But I wanted to allow them access to view the status of their leads, input leads into our system and so forth. There is no thing I am having trouble with however. On the CRM main page they can click on the EMPLOYEES link in the top right corner. I do not want these people seeing this page and knowing all the people in our organization, is there a way to restrict this. I don't see employees module listed in the roles section.

    Thanks!

    jbellendir,

The Sugar Portal that comes with the Enterprise version, or our Sugar Portal for Zend Framework, is the solution to your access control for sales agents. You create a Partner Relationship Portal for them, with only the modules you want them to see.

Please feel free to ping me on Skype to talk about your project.

    Best regards,
