User and role permissions

I was wondering if there are any additional informational resources out there as far as user permissions and role permissions. I am trying to get some user and role management issues worked out. Here is what I need to accomplish:

Make a lead, contact or account that is assigned to a sales person viewable by the sales person and their supervisor. The supervisor should be able to view all leads, accounts and contacts assigned to any of their sup-ordinates.

The sales person should only be able to view leads, accounts and contacts assigned to them.

I have the sales person permissions worked out, the trouble is once a lead is assigned to a sales person, the supervisor can not view that lead. Anyone with some insight on how the Roles are defined and how I can get 2 individuals to view the same lead would be great.

Hi mrniss99

If you are using SugarCRM OS 4.5.x you can use the Teams OS.
If you are using SugarCRM CE 5.0 you can use the Security Suite.

Both accomplish your needs.
