Default Users invited to a meeting doesn't have the meeting assigned to them

    Hi all,

This is the problem: user A creates a meeting and he invites user B to the same meeting. User B accepts the invitation an automatically can see the event in his calendar, but the meeting doesn't appear in his meeting tab. It's normal because if user B opens the meeting he can see that the meeting is assigned to user B.
So even if user B can see the meeting in his calendar, actually the meeting is assigned to user A.

This is a problem to sync meetings from SugarCRM to Google Calendar: as the meeting doesn't exists for user B in SugarCRM (it is only showed in the calendar but as a user A's event), this meeting will never be synced to other calendars.

I'm experiencing this in SugarCRM 6.2.4 (Build 6735), but i have tryed in other versions with the same result. Is this the normal behaviour of SugarCRM? i think that the normal thing would be to automatically create a new meeting assigned to user B (it would be the same meeting but assigned to user B), don't you agree? or am i doing something wrong? or any solutions? suggestions? help?

    Thanks in advance ;-)

    Cheers.

Each record in SugarCRM has only one assigned_to user.
So, when user A creates a meeting he will be set to the assigned_to of that meeting.
If user A wants user B to be the assigned_to of this meeting he must set him in the assigned_to field.

Hi kuske, thanks for your answer.

I understand what you explain, it-s logical.

Althought this is a problem to sync the calendar as i said in my first post. A user could be invited to hundreds of meetings each month and none of these meetings would automatically appear in his other calendars (Google, Outlook, Iphone, etc.).

Does somebody had this problematic situation? it may exist a trick to solve it?

    Cheers.

Might it be possible to create a logic hook wich automatically would create a meeting assigned to the invited user (user B)? the data of this meeting would be the same of the meeting created by user A (the user wich invites user B to his "assigned to" meeting). I hope understandable

This could be a solution but i wish someone could confirm that it can be done.

    Cheers.

    Yes YOU CAN.

You just create new Meetings in the logic_hook before_save or after_save and create new ones with the same content in that hook.
