Users-Unable to add contacts

Hi,
Sugar Open Source Version 4.2.1b
Edition:SugarSuite
Contacts Module
MySQL - 4.1.11
Apache/2.0.54 (Fedora)

There is a problem with my users. They are unable to add new contacts as well as edit existing contacts. Upon creation of a new contact, i'm being redirected to the Contacts/Listview.html page which is blank. The new contact however is shown when i log in as Administrator.

Have you created a "roll"?
If you have, I'd check to see if you have disabled people's ability to edit contacts.

thanks Daniel, but no i havent created any roles. I have no clue why this is happening. Has anyone else had this problem?
Please need help urgently
