    Default Using access/Excel wth sugarCRM

Is there a download/plug-in for sugar CRM for a ODBC connection with Excel or Access available...
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Assuming your sugar install runs MySql, the odbc driver is at
    http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/3.51.html

If you are already running Sugar, you already have the MySql database (unless you're using the Microsoft SQL server version of Sugar). The ODBC driver is for connecting Access or Excel (or Crystal Reports, or whatever) to the Sugar database backend. It'll be up to you to make sense of the database design to get anything of value out of it though..

You can use the Export function to push data into Excel (e.g., a list of Accounts, Contacts, Leads, etc) via CSV format.

I am trying to use an ODBC connection to pull (and keep updated) data in Excal.

I'm using Putty to forward MySQL ports to the local machines and then the MySQL ODBC Driver.

In Excel 2003 I'm using the external data wizard but after pulling in the required fields (from Opportunities) I get the error:

Unknown table 'opportunities_0' in fied list
    what's going on?

    Cheers

    Rich

[EDIT] Dosnt sound like its Sugar specific, will update if/ when I find a solution http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?97,22285,22285 [/EDIT]
