Using Campaign's for mail shots

Hi

Forgive me if this has already been covered as a topic, but I did search the forums and found nothing.

I want to use the campaign feature to run two types of campaigns

1) A mix of emails and mail shots

2) Export the Address information of the people in the campaign for an external application to use.

I'm stuck on both counts...

To be honest I can live without option 1 if I can get option 2 working but I have been looking at the MySQL database and cant figure out the relationships too well to make up a query to pull the information I need.

Questions

A) Has anybody already done this?

B) Do you have a better way of doing it then my suggesting above

C) Id there a module already available for this

I saw a post saying you could do this in ZuckerReports, but couldnt see how.
