Using data fields from associated form?

I have created a new drop-down-field in the regular "account"-form. This field called "company type" states the type of company

How can I use that type-information in the list view of the associated contacts?

Like: i pull a list of all contacts we have and the last column shows what type of company they work for.

How can that be done?

Is there really no way to do this?

In the Studio, I was not able to find a function to create this.

But is there may be some standard (therefore upgrade-safe) way to write a little function to do this? I don't mind writing the SQL-Query myself, if necessary... It's just one joint...

There is no way to do this in Studio ... and you're correct in your analysis ... you'd need some custom code
