Default Using external e-mail client to schedule meetings and calls

    Hi,

I am using SugarCRM 5.5 and was wondering if it was possible to use an external e-mail client to schedule meetings and calls insteal of Sugar's internal e-mail system?

For example, in the admin section it is possible to configure an external e-mail client for sending e-mail so that 'mailto:' links appear when clicking on a particular contact. I wondered if something similar were possible for meetings - i.e. when scheduling a meeting in sugar CRM, sending invites triggers the e-mail client (e.g. Outlook) to create a new Appointment/meeting request to the specified users?

    thanks,

    Pete

Schedule a meeting/call using full form, add the meeting/call attendees and then click "send Invites" and email invitations will be sent to all the invitees

    Have a look at http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/outlookconnect

This allows you to create Calls & Meetings in Outlook & Sync them to Sugar
