    Default using https

    i am currently developing my sugar platform.

    before i publish it for testing i would like to make sure https is only used

    can someone please point me in the right direction with how to make this change?

    Using an security layer is not a function of Sugar. Does your server have a certificate? My ISP has the SL layer for one subdirectory only.

    I don't use https for Sugar, but I don't see why it would not work.

    Try it and see!

    i have tried internally to access the page via https with no luck- do i need to reconfigure somethin on the unix side ie fw?
    or am i misunderstanding something here?

    Well, SSL is only going to work if you have the security socket layer enabled. You need to have a certificate of somekind. My ISP handles that for me. Cost me abut $20 a year or something like that.

    The SSL has to be integrated with Apache. I'm sure there are some good sites on the web that explain it.

    I don't know how you would set it up locally... or why you would want to.
