UTF8 and e-mail from Sugar- not working

Hello all,

I have a major problem with Sugar 5.5.4 and mails. When i send an e-mail in cyrillic, the recipient receives the following:

And so on...

The problem is that it sometimes does this, in other cases the recipient can read it in cyrillic with no problems. Is this an issue with the mail server, or with Sugar?

Hello,

I just had exacly the same problem and got the following solution :

I had to downgrade phpmailer class.

I juste took an older version from sugar 5.2 and replaced the whole directory include/phpmailer and everything went fine.

By now I'm using version 1.7 instead of the version 2.3 included in actual versions of sugar.
I didn't try any other version yet but this one works for me.
