    Default Various emails questions

I did setup personal inbound email. And I have few questions :

    1) I only see "Inbox" folder for my mail address in the "email" module. I'd love to see "Sent", Draft" and "Trash" Folders.

    2) Because there is no those folders, where my deleted mails are accessible ?

    3) If I send an email from the "email module" and send it to an email (without using it the relate function), I see that this email is visible in the history subpanel of the contact or account with this email. I can understand that from a detail view of a contact, if I send an email, this email is then visible in the history subpanel but if I don"t want that, I thought that sending it from the "email module" without using the relate function will be the solution. Is there something I do wronf ?

    4) The search function in the email module ? Is it only searching and displaying results from the emails sent ? How can I search for email received ?

Thanks for any help, advice and link

Well... long time I have'nt been on this forum... and nothing changes... Like if we had only problems which are 100% personal...
    Well..
From last night sending, I did resolve points 1 & 2.
When choosing imap personal mail account (I did this yesterday also), you have to select with CTRL all the folders U want to appear in the Inbox input.

If someone can help me for the 2 last questions :

    3) If I send an email from the "email module" and send it to an email (without using it the relate function), I see that this email is visible in the history subpanel of the contact or account with this email. I can understand that from a detail view of a contact, if I send an email, this email is then visible in the history subpanel but if I don"t want that, I thought that sending it from the "email module" without using the relate function will be the solution. Is there something I do wronf ?

    4) The search function in the email module ? Is it only searching and displaying results from the emails sent ? How can I search for email received ?

    Thanks

The connection between an email sent and the entity which it is related to works solely through the email address used. You can test this by changing the email address of a person/company to another one which already has some emails. They will appear immediately under the changed entity. The relate function gives you one more "hardwired" relation which is physically written to the database.

You can search for received emails if these were imported - either manually through Sugar (right click) or automatically via the group email function or (the easiest way) via one of the available connectors for Thunderbird or Outlook.

    Thanks for your answer.

So, if I understand well what U said, I can't send an email to an email known in my sugar database (contact, account and may be also custom modules) without recording it automatically (ie that means that it will appear in the history subpanel of the entity linked to this email).

For the search tool inside the email module, I did import emails with right clicks and also through group mail inbound, and from now, I never get result like U describe. I only get results from my "sent" emails. I'll try to understand and check what's wrong. May be, U can tell me where I can find where this "query" search is built (which files) ?

    Thanks
    F.
