Vcard does not work

Oh when I click on Vcard to download the contact info, I get this "Not A Valid Entry Point"
This is new since we upgraded to the new 5.1 online version. Never had a problem before. Even posted a bug issue, but noone has contacted us with a fix.

What Gives????

And since I am on a rant, why can't there be a plug-in for Mac OSX mail??????

If anyone has a solution or knows of one please let me know.

Did you try to restore the vCard.php from a 5.1 installation zip file?

How long (lines) is your vCard.php?

I'm getting the same error. I restored from a freshly downloaded CE5.1 file as well... no help.

I am currently using the Pro On demand program. So no, I would not be able to re-install or mess with any files.

On a sad note, SugarCRM is well aware of this issue and is NOT being of any help. They say that they are working on it. My thought are why deploy a broken program if it is not 100% in it's key features. Also, the Thunderbird plug in is supposed to work great, but where in the heck do you download it. I was told I could use it by cust. svc. So if you know of a good fix for me let me know.

After copying the file as Kuske suggested or making the changes manually do a Quick Repair and Rebuild to make the changes stick.

N.B. The WIKI has an error in it: the change should look like this:

I've tried these recommendations for changing code in the
custom\modules\Quotes\metadata\detailviewdefs.php
and
include/MVC/Controller/entry_point_registry.php
Then a quick repair and rebuild,

but the vCard still doesn't work. It doesn't say
"Not A Valid Entry Point"

but it gives a blank screen instead with the following url:
/index.php?entryPoint=vCard&contact_id=92186bb3-b5e2-ff39-a21a-48fbdc81960a&module=Lead

It still seems to be an issue/bug.

Any help is appreciated.

In addition to changing the form action to index.php and adding a hidden field "entryPoint" with value "vCard", you have to change the hidden field "module" from "Contact" to "Contacts" and the same for the custom detailviewdefs.php of the Leads module (Lead => Leads).

Did you clear the cache with Quick Repair & Rebuild?

Yes, I went into admin and did the quick repair and rebuild. I also went to the Wiki page that it looks like you updated and double checked all my files that are involved. I thought it would have worked because many times on problems I've encountered the code looks right, but is just off by a single letter as you pointed out adding the "S" at the end of Lead and Contact.

But it has not changed the outcome for my instance. I'd like to know if others' have got it to work, and possibly there's another setting somewhere that I have overlooked.


My system is Linux CentOS, Apache 2.0.52, MySQL 4.1.20, PHP 5.1.6,

But the vCard works great in my instance of 4.5.1 on the same server, so I don't think this is a server issue.

Thanks for all your help. I also sent a personal message to Clint - (a sugar co-founder i think it said somewhere) and he said that this should be fixed in the next patch. Probably wait another few weeks and see if it helps. But of course if this is the fix planned, it's still in need of tweaking from what I can tell.
