    Default Version 5.5.4 (Build 1246) Email

    I have just loaded Version 5.5.4 (Build 1246) ce.

    But for some reason i can send mail, but not receive any mails?
    any ideas.

    ps, what happened to pop?

    5.5.4 only works with IMAP.

    Dis you set all directories, INBOX, SENT and TRASH?

    I'm interested in this thread also. How does one enable/install/othersire-make-go IMAP under 5.5.4?

    Did you check your mail settings?

    I'm having issues with the html editor NOT working. Any ideas?

    Could I suggest that if you want help with your HTML editor problem that you start a thread for that? Otherwise, it looks like an inadvertant thread highjack.

    I've check mail setting, but no joy so far getting mail working, but I'll have some more time to spend of this shortly.

    Mmmmh, just tried 554 email settings - there seems to be no problem.

    Did you open "Mail Account Properties"?

    mail account name - any string identifying you
    user name - your email user account name
    passwoord - your password
    mail server address - the address of the imap server
    mail server protocol - IMAP
    use ssl - can be set or not, depends on your mailserver setting
    mail server port - 143 if your mailserver does not use ssl, 993 if uses ssl, or any other port if the mailserver admin decided to use an other port
    monitored folder -
    if you set all the values before, a click to select should show you the list of all imap folders of your account, you can select one (INBOX) ore more folfers here (by holding th Ctrl Button)
    trash folder -
    click to select an chose the trash folder
    if you use a localized imap server with special chars in the foldername like "gelöschte objecte" then create a new folder e.g. "trash" and set the trash folder to it.
    sent folder -
    cklick to select and chose the sent folder

    now click to test settings - it should retun a "completed successfully"

    now you can click to "done" and sugarcrm starts to download all email subjects from the imap server.

    If your monitored folders contain a lot of messages (more than 1000) it can take a real long time !!!
