Question Versions of sugar and MySQL databases

    Hi everyone,

I'm wondering here something and I want you to help me get things rigth, the thing is:
What would happen if I change the version of sugar, let's say from 5.0.0a to 5.0.0e but just
by changing the root folder instead of making the upgrade and keeping the original database
I have; would version 5.0.0e work normally if the modules on each sugar version were created
just the same (same field names, layouts, relationships, etc.) or would there be issues to expect to
happen with this kind of upgrade?.

I ask this because I've noticed that the database we have on each sugar version has almost the same
number of tables but there are another tables that don't exist in one of the two databases, I mean,
both datbases are not exactly the same, so..., would this difference be the reason of malfuntioning
    issues ore something?.

Hope any of you had tried this before!!!

    Cheers!!

    Juan Miguel

    Hi Juan Miguel,
if you look at this post you'll see there is no difference between the default db for 5.0.0a and 5.0.0e. The differences from a minor release to another are in bugs.
Maybe the different tables between the two dbs were create upon relationships setup.
What do you think the cookie monster eats ?
