I'm trying to set permissions so that a user can view related objects (in subpanels) for parent records they have access to - but, at the same time, restrict listview access. Is that feasible? Please advise. Thanks!

Sure, you can do this in the subpanel. It allows for a custom WHERE statement in the database query, and the definitions are not cached. Requires programming.
