"View Summary" sort order

Is there a way to change the sort order of the Task history, under "View Summary" for an account to be by the date_started instead of by name?

I'm not seeing a 'View Summary' link. Maybe you can post a screenshot showing me where this link is?

The "View SUmmary" button is when you view an account and it appears under the History section. I am using a slightly older version of the software 4.01e, I believe. I have attached a screenshot of the relevant section.

It looks like as of 4.2.0 (where this screenshot came from), the records are sorted by date:

Sorry - no - they're not sorted by date - they're sorted alphanumerically.

That's fine with 'yyyy-mm-dd' order or US mm/dd/yyyy (generally) but with UK/Euro dd/mm/yyyy it goes all over the place.

It was posted a number of times in the forum before the bugs site was up but it's never been fixed.

I've put a bug up and it would be cool if it's addressed ASAP.

can anyone advise if this problem was sorted or is there a fix?

We are running in the UK and use dd/mm/yyyy formate but am still getting the sort order out of order.

We are running SugarCRM 4.5.0h

The bug was marked closed way back in August.

If it's still a problem I'd encourage you to open a new one and reference the old one (#7053).

I agree. And as far as I know we sort by the actual date field (via a UNION) so the DB should take care of the sort.

I'll ask Roger to chime in b/c he and I worked on this feature about a zillion years ago.
