Viewing of Contact history under Account view

Newbie needs help.

When we archive e-mails under a contact person, it will be listed under "history" for the contact.

Considering that we have several contacts beloning to an Account, it would be nice to get a total overview of the history with the Account. However our default setup does not show any account history(e.g. email correspondence) of the varoius contact "histories".

How can this be setup?

I don't know a strategy to do this in upgrade safe way.
You should modify the bean of Accounts (Account.php) adding a function for retrieving the History of the Contacts related to this account.

You can read the subpaneldefs.php into Campaign module for learning something about it.
In summary: you must define a subpanel entry which get the data from a function defined into main bean (bean which is been displayed into DetailView). So you should need to modify the Account,php.

Perhaps there are other way, but I don't know.

It should be doing this by default. Are you using that when you view the history on an Account, you are only able to see the e-mail history of some of the linked contacts? Or are you not seeing any at all?

EDIT: My mistake...while playing around with something else, I realized it doesn't do this. Weird. I could have sworn I've seen it do this before. I'll check back later when I come to my senses I suppose.

We're hitting this issue in 5.0.0e Pro.

Contact history is fine - shows emails, meetings and notes related to the contact (as you'd expect).

BUT... if you go to the account all you see is the notes history. It would make a lot more sense to see all the history of the account... what's going on here?
