Viewing only open Opportunities in List View

Is there a way to choose to veiw only open opportunities (not Closed Won or Closed Lost) by default when opportunities are listed in the Opportunities tab. This needs to be the default setting because I don't want to used Advanced search features.

Hi:
I´m having the same problem, since Open opportunities get lost in the Closed Opps list. I think there sould be a way to "move" closed opportunities to a History folder.

I hope someone with more experience than me can help.

You can edit the layout of the search forms the same way you edit the layout of the edit, detail and list views. Just add the status box to the standard search window............. and pick the ones you want to look at............ it remembers the last setting as the default - or reset the default for all users to what you want it to be.
