Want to create new field with multiple options

Hi,

I want to create a Field from admin panel having multiple options as in check box.
I have to design an inquiry form on Opportunity module and need to create a field say Project type,having options New/Old/not known.. etc. Each option having a check box.

From admin panel I can add only one check box at a time. How can I group them under one field name...

Hope you understand my problem.


Eg.

Project Type- 1) New [checkbox] 2) Old [checkbox] 3) Not Know[checkbox]

Are you sure you are not referring to a dropdown instead of a checkbox?
Or wouldn't that at least be easier to have for it?

Instead of checkboxes why not just use a MultiSelect box if you want multiple options to be selected at once or a select box if just one option from the group can be selected.
