    Default Want custom link field to create relationship

    I have created a couple of custom link fields. For instance, I want a field to link a bug to a case. The field works fine, except that I want it to actually create a relationship between the two instead of just allowing me to pick from a list. In other words, when something is selected in the link field, I want it to show up in the subpanels on both modules.

    I basically want these custom fields to work the same way as the "Account Name" link field that's on the Create Contact page.

    I'm using Sugar 5.0

    Hi,
    account field inside contact's module is a relate field.
    To create one, go in studio and add to your module (bugs or cases?) a relate field. Specify the module you want to relate and save.
    Then add this field to editview and detailview, then save.
    Then go in ADMIN->Repair->Rebuild Relationships.
    What do you think the cookie monster eats ?

    This sounds like what I've already done, so I'm not sure what I"m missing.

    I created a custom field (called office_c)of type relate and related it to the Account module. I then added the field to the edit view of the Bug module. Finally, I ran the Rebuild Relationships function.

    When I add a bug, I can use that custom field to view and select a list of accounts. Once the bug is saved, that field is a clickable link that takes me to the Account listed for the bug.

    The problem I'm having is that when I'm looking at an account, the Bug subpanel at the bottom doesn't list any of the bugs that are linked to that account. The only way I can get anything to show in the subpanel is if I use the "Select" or "Create" button that's actually on the subpanel.

    What am I missing here?
