Hi there

I had sugarcrm running on a windows 2003 server using xampp 1.7.1.
Everything works fine. outlook integrator as well.

We have recently aquired a new server also loaded with windows 2003 r2. all updates done etc.

xampp 1.7.2,

but when i now tru to make a connection to sugar with outlook integrator i get object not set as reference to object?

Any help please.

First thing I'd recommend checking is the extensions enabled in your php.ini in both the new and old installs to see if there are any differences. Then every other setting in the php.ini. It is most likely caused by a different php setting. Also, what is the version of PHP for the old and new installs?

So this is a php thing and not a windows server issue?

Most likely, yes. Depends on what you find. From similar experiences in the past it was always the PHP configuration that was the issue for me.

I second Jason's observation.

I only need one hand to count up all the times I've come across an issue that was rooted in the operating system.

Ironically, one of those instances did involve .NET, as is your scenario with the Outlook plugin. My situation was that I couldn't login via any .NET code, but PHP and other languages worked. It was also on Windows 2008.

Are you able to connect to the Sugar API via other tools that aren't .NET based? Also, what version of Sugar are we talking about?

My sugar works 100% This is still 4.5.1 though.
just the outlook integrator that wont work.

Thinking it could be dot net issue?

OK, given it is an old version, the scenario I encountered is highly unlikely to be applicable.

Hi everybody - this was solved.

Xampp 1.7.1 was installed. I unsinstalled that and loaded 1.6.7. Works 100%
