I'd like to use an ERP with the CRM part performed by SugarCRM. Therefore, I'd be glad if anyone could advise me which ERP applications, especially the open source ones, that SugarCRM interoperates with ?

As far as I know there isn't any. But you will hardly find any CRM that works with an ERP from another supplier out of the box. We did this for two packages and it very much depends on the capabilities of the ERP system as well on the extent to which you are using CRM.
Example: If you plan to use quotes in your ERP system (because of material and pricing issues) there is not much need to really integrate CRM. Quite the opposite is true if you want your CRM system to produce quotes and/or sales orders. Here you must make sure that the accepted quote as well as the customer (if it's a new one) is transferred to your ERP before you can continue there to deliver, book and what have you. You also need to decide which system is the leading one. Once a customer is registered in your ERP all relevant changes must be transferred to the CRM but NOT vice versa (except for things like fon nos and the like). Think of credit limits, open service orders or outstanding balances
We had the best results by doing the integration on a database level - no hassle, very transparent and fairly inexpensive. Or - even easier: create views in your ERP (again on database level) and make them visible in Sugar or any other CRM...

Hi,
We have used Jitterbit successfully (www.jitterbit.com) in a couple of customer projects to transfer data between two different ERP and CRM systems.
Jitterbit is easy to use and very little IT know how is needed.
Hope this helps!
Cheers Malcolm
